While some is known about those initial members, modern day rumors swirl about a variety of politicians, celebrities and public figures who could be involved in the Illuminati.

The list of suspected members changes frequently, and some individuals are indicated more heavily than others. For several celebrities, it has become difficult (and nearly impossible) to renounce any involvement as their music, programs, body language and other personal details have been overanalyzed to the extreme.

Modern interpretations of the Illuminati suggest that members are required are often celebrities or prominent individuals because of the sacrifice they make to gain power. Suggested sacrifices include those of blood or loved ones, submit blood sacrifices,

 Several Affluent Families

Many believe that the Illuminati is made up of several large families, with membership passed on from generation to generation. These families include: the Astors (prominent business family), the Rothschilds (business and banking family), family of Ted Bundy (American serial killer), the Rockefellers (oil and business magnates), the Carnegies (steel suppliers) and the politically involved Kennedy family. Other families have been named, and depending on the source, some of the above families are excluded. Regardless of membership, the group of ruling families is referred to as the “Bloodlines of the Illuminati.”

U.S. Presidents

Former U.S. President George W. Bush

A handful of United States Presidents have encountered the claim of being involved in the Illuminati. Barack Obama, George Bush and George W. Bush, Bill Clinton (and wife Hillary Clinton), political candidates like John Kerry and other politicians have all had fingers pointed in their direction, implicating involvement in the Illuminati. Successful rapper, musician and producer Jay-Z is believed to be a member of the Illuminati because of his rise from poverty to affluence, imagery on his apparel, album covers and music he produces. He regularly uses a hand symbol, touching thumbs and pointer fingers together in a triangular shape, which many believe represents the All-Seeing Eye. Jay-Z (also known as Shawn Knowles-Carter) is possibly the most questioned celebrity on Illuminati involvement, and regardless of continual denial, has had difficulty distancing himself from the legendary group’s involvement.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, musician and producer

Rumors surrounding Beyonce’s involvement surfaced following her marriage to Jay-Z. As the power couple climbed to higher social prominence, Beyonce’s supposed involvement became questioned more heavily. She is known for using the same hand symbol as her husband, a sign many believe is an Illuminati reference. The child of power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce is a suggested member of the Illuminati. Some believe her name is an acronym for “Born Living Under Evil, Illuminati’s Very Youngest.”
